Visit Southport launches Southport Pick ‘n’ Mix
Visit Southport has launched ‘Southport Pick ‘n’ Mix’, a new product for groups that offers a selection of inspirational ideas for a four-night group-friendly itinerary.
Southport Pick ‘n’ Mix gives group travel organisers, coach tour operators and tour planners the opportunity to combine time spent exploring the town with visits to neighbouring destinations. These include Liverpool, WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre, Formby Beach, Samlesbury Hall, The World of Glass, Ena Mill, and The Courtyard, Tarleton.
“In 2017 we updated the Southport brand with the introduction of ‘Southport – Different Every Time’,” says Steve Christian, Destination Development Manager with Visit Southport. “This clearly emphasises the wide choice of things to do. Our new Southport Pick ‘n’ Mix product for groups links into this by highlighting how our location, close to Liverpool, Manchester and Blackpool, also makes the town the ideal base for groups wanting to explore the surrounding area. Our new leaflet is very much a starting point. We can offer advice and information to help group travel organisers put together a bespoke short break that meets their specific requirements.”
The introduction of Southport Pick ‘n’ Mix follows on from the recent launch of Southport Welcome, another new initiative that aims to remind coach operators and tour planners why the traditional seaside destination is coach and group friendly.
