The UK travel trade saw and experienced all that was good about the Southern Wales tourism industry last week during a special fact-finding tour 1-3 March.
Coach and tour operators, GTOS and inbound tour operators made a bee line for the region for a series of tours, visits and face to face meetings where they could meet and talk business with the operators of hotels, attractions and venues.
Arranged by Southern Wales Tourism, coordinated by UK travel trade specialists Steve Reed Tourism Ltd with support from Mainline Coaches and Blue Badge Tourist Guide Steve Griffin, the event was based at the Parkway Hotel and Spa in Cwmbran.
Coach Tours UK magazine attended the event and will include a feature about the showcase which is now in its sixth year in the April issue of the magazine.
A packed schedule of familiarisation trips took in sites all over the region and the annual showcase workshop where buyers met direct with suppliers was held in the National Museum Cardiff.
