The Group Leisure & Travel Show (GLT Show) has announced that Britain’s No.1 travel expert Simon Calder is returning to this year’s exhibition.
Senior travel editor of The Independent and acclaimed TV and radio broadcaster, Simon is the first celebrity speaker revealed for the free to attend seminar theatre at the GLT Show, which takes places on October 10, at Stadium MK, Milton Keynes.
Simon’s seminar session at the GLT Show last year was extremely popular, with Simon offering visitors valuable advice on passport expiry dates and insurance as well as travel tips, and where to go outside of Europe (in light of Brexit). He joined TV gardening expert Carol Klein and self-confessed ‘culture vulture’ Gyles Brandreth last year, with each session drawing in crowds with standing room only.
Simon is a household name at the GLT Show, and speaking at the 2018 event, Simon described it as “being great for networking, doing deals and to see what the opposition is doing”.
Emma Cash, GLT Show organiser, said that the seminar line-up, which includes another celebrity speaker announcement due to be made next month, will provide a very exciting range of well-known experts speaking at the UK’s biggest and most important event for the group travel sector. Exhibition sales manager Sharon Yandell was equally positive, confirming stand sales for the 2019 show have exceeded expectations and that all indications are it will be another sell-out event. Companies, venues and organisations interested in exhibiting or sponsoring at the 2019 event, which takes place in the Marshall Arena at Stadium MK, Milton Keynes, should contact Sharon on 01908-613323 or sharon.y@yandellmedia.com
More information about the GLT Show can be found at www.grouptravelshow.com Online visitor registration is now open and includes benefits such as free entry, free bacon butty breakfast for early arrival, and free parking.
