The historic town of Watford is set to welcome back coaches and groups with a special group experience day this summer. The Watford Day Trip Group Showcase takes place on Tuesday 27th July, and group travel organisers and coach and tour operators are invited to sign up for this exclusive and complimentary event.

Showcasing a variety of attractions, restaurants and top class shopping, the one-day fact finding mission will help tour planners schedule in Watford as a perfect coach stop.

Organised by Visit Watford and Watford BID, the Showcase is arranged in conjunction with UK travel trade specialists Steve Reed Tourism Ltd of Hampshire. The event will be an opportunity for Watford tourism and hospitality businesses to encourage new generations of coach parties to Watford.

The Showcase features a tour of the vibrant town centre, lunch in a group-friendly restaurant, an exploration of the Atria Shopping Centre and, as a finale, a performance of a movie classic along with afternoon tea in the Palace Theatre.

The delegates will also meet hoteliers, attractions and a range of other tourism businesses during a ‘meet the tourism industry’ session in the Watford Jurys Hotel. The event commences at 09.30 and concludes around teatime.
