GTW’s Paige Fraser and her son Jayden were treated to a VIP day out at LEGOLANDWindsor this month to meet Batman and discover more about the attraction’s new LEGO NINJAGO 4D interactive ride, which opens next month.
“It was an amazing day,” says Paige. “We can now personally vouch for the fun to be had on The Dragon’s Apprentice and Balloon School rides, as well as The Dragon rollercoaster and the Jolly Rocker swing boat.
“We took a packed lunch – a great tip for groups on a budget – and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Queues when we went (on a Sunday) were no longer than five to 10 minutes per ride, and I was impressed by the fact they even have large family-sized dryers you can stand in after the water rides to dry off (these cost £2).
“As we went in March, Jayden and I had a special meet and greet with LEGO Batman, as well as a surprise meet and hug with Kai from NINJAGO, who was there to promote next month’s launch (in May).
“We also went inside the LEGO Star Wars Miniland Model Display & Gallery, which features seven of the most famous Star Wars scenes from its six movies.”
Perfect for LEGO-loving groups of schoolchildren or families, LEGOLAND Windsor Resort has LEGO-themed rides, models, building workshops, swimming pools and even a hotel (though this is made with conventional bricks!). Enjoy more than 55 interactive rides, live shows and attractions, set in 150 acres of parkland. Within easy reach of the M3, M25 and M4, and just two miles outside Windsor town centre, find out more at www.legoland.co.uk. There is plenty of space for coach parking – see the website for full group booking details.
