Greatdays Travel Group has launched a new seven-day tour that brings together the stories, sights, sounds and songs of Britain’s musical heritage.

The ‘British Music Cities Tour’ takes in London, Liverpool and Manchester, offering the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of many of the world’s music greats, including The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Queen, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Bob Marley, The Smiths, Oasis and Simply Red.

  • In London the tour includes a visit to the flat of Jimi Hendrix, and next door, the house that once belonged to classical composer Frederick Handel.
  • In Liverpool the tour includes visits to The Beatles Story on Albert Dock, the British Music Experience, featuring more than 600 artefacts dating back to 1945 and visits to the Cavern Club and the legendary Jacaranda, a music club frequented by The Beatles before they hit the big time.
  • Manchester’s unique sound shaped the world’s music scene in the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s, and a three-hour tour reveals the stories and locations about The Hollies, Herman’s Hermits, The Smiths, Oasis, Morrissey, New Order, Simply Red, 10cc and the Stone Roses.

The tour departs from London every Sunday from April to October 2019 and can be booked by groups or independent travellers. Travel between cities is by first class rail, and prices start at £1,099 per person. Find out more at britishmusiccities.com
