The UK’s original Festival of Light returns to Longleat for the festive period with a magical journey through time and space.
Running from November 9th to January 6th ‘A Fantastic Voyage’ is the Wiltshire attraction’s most ambitious ever Christmas event, featuring more than 1,000 illuminated lanterns. From Ancient Egypt, complete with a 20-metre-tall Great Pyramid, to a rocket voyage around the solar system and its planets, the new theme incorporates more than a dozen walk-through scenes.
Visitors can join adventurous brother and sister duo Harry and Bea, and their fearless canine companion Monty, as they embark on an epic journey. There’s the chance to travel under the sea, go back in time to the age of dinosaurs, visit the frozen Arctic and witness a castle besieged by knights.
Visitors can also enjoy the magic of storytelling with ‘A Flight Before Christmas’ – a unique festive experience featuring real flying owls, plus there’s the chance to go on a drive-through Winter Safari, visit Monkey Temple and Jungle Kingdom, embark on a Jungle Cruise and explore the illuminated Hedge Maze. Longleat House will also be decorated in style for a 1920s Christmas.
The Festival of Light – A Fantastic Voyage opens Fridays to Sundays from November 9th to 25th. Daily from November 30th to January 6th (excluding Christmas Day). Find out more at www.longleat.co.uk/festival-of-light
