The cream of the UK travel trade will be meeting industry suppliers on Sunday and Monday 9 and 10 February. Travel World Association, or TWA for short, will be unpacking some of their ‘quality street’ of coach and tour operators and GTOS at the Old Swan Hotel in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
Arranged to help hotels, attractions, retail, destinations and other tourism providers gain new group bookings, the occasion is a selection box of familiarisation visits and face to face meetings. The workshop takes place from 10.30 – 12.30 on Monday 10 February in the historic Old Swan Hotel which is situated next to the famous Valley Gardens right in the centre of Harrogate. And the tour planners will also take in visits to a number of attractions such York’s Chocolate Story and the Emmerdale Studio Experience (pictured here).
The attendees at this top TWA event reads like a who’s who of UK tourism. They include operators such as Brethertons Goldline Tours; Swan Tours Coach Holidays; China Europe Travel; Miki Travel; The School Travel Company and All in One Tours. GTOS include Thames Valley Tours; Beck and Call; Sutton Coldfield Probus and City Adventurers to name just a few. The event has also attracted a number of top tour wholesalers such as Norman Allen Group Travel; Great Days Travel Group; Airedale Tours and Albatross Travel. The event has been made possible by TWA partners such as Classic Lodges Hotels and Belle Vue Coaches of Stockport.
Steve Reed is the MD of UK travel trade specialist company Steve Reed Tourism Ltd. He’s also the champion of the fast growing TWA organisation: ‘This North Yorkshire TWA event is a real taster for those tourism businesses and active tour planners who are as yet unfamiliar with the business-like philosophy of Travel World Association. It’s one of several set piece events arranged around the country that puts buyers together with sellers – check out the link https://travelworldassociation.com/events/ for details,’ says Steve.
