Father Christmas is your host on the Churnet Valley Railway in Staffordshire throughout December for its Santa and Steam event.

Guests can start at either Froghall or Cheddleton to take a festive journey through the Staffordshire Moorlands. During the journey Santa will stroll through the train, meeting all the little boys and girls, with a gift for each. Children will also receive a soft drink and treat for the journey. Adults can relax with a mince pie and glass of sherry as the steam train rolls through the countryside. Prices start from £17 for an adult, £12 for children over 2 and £7 for children under 2.
