Historic Royal Palaces – the independent charity that cares for the Tower of London - has partnered with Luxmuralis to present ‘Poppy Fields at the Tower’. This poignant and moving sound and light show will run for nine nights over the Remembrance period at the Tower of London.
Each evening, from 8 to 16 November, the show will take visitors on a journey through specially created sound and light installations, featuring artwork reflecting on the First and Second World Wars that will transform the architecture of the iconic Tower buildings. ‘Poppy Fields at the Tower’ will create space for visitors to remember those who lost their lives in the conflicts, as well as those who served, and will also look forward, exploring the collective desire for peace.
Exclusively at the Tower of London, the show has been adapted to include images from Historic Royal Palaces’ own collections creating a unique artwork that reflects the historic site. Visitors can extend their Tower of London visit by viewing the iconic Crown Jewels which will be open throughout the evening to enjoy.
Time slots will be in operation every 15 minutes from 17.00, with last admission being 19.45. Group bookings of 15 pax or more will be accepted for visits within the times of 18.30 -19.30. Historic Royal Palaces recommend allocating approximately 70 minutes to view the display in its entirety.
Please note that this is an outdoor event, thus suitable clothing is advised. The sound and light experience will also go ahead in the event of unfavourable weather and will only be cancelled in exceptional circumstances.
