Expect themed inspiration from Greatdays in its new summer brochure

Tour wholesaler Greatdays Travel Group is offering ‘themed inspiration’ for 2019 in its new summer group travel brochure.

Six themes bring together a selection of continental European tour itineraries under headings including ‘A Grape Escape’, ‘Fit for a King’, and ‘Blooming Beautiful’.

Itineraries include a new tour to the Girona ‘Temps de Flors’, an unusual flower festival in north east Spain, with time to explore Barcelona. A new ‘Gardens of Tuscany’ itinerary offers a more tailored tour of Tuscany, highlighting the regions many beautiful gardens and villas. A new wine tour is ‘Wines of the Rhine’, introducing a twist on the classic Rhine tour and including an ice wine tasting.

The brochure includes tours that give groups the opportunity to commemorate the 75^th anniversaries of D-Day in Normandy, the Battle of the Bulge in southern Belgium, and Operation Market Garden in the Netherlands. ‘Reunified Berlin’ offers something different with a guided tour of the former East Berlin.

‘A weekend in…’ offers 3-night city breaks including Seville, Lonely Planet’s number one city to visit in 2018, and a more unusual option, the Polish port of Gdansk.

A number of new UK tours include ‘Kent Grape & Grain’, ‘Ladies Delight Gin and Shopping Tour’, and ‘Let the Tour BeGin’. The new brochure also features the 2019 season of Kynren, the spectacular open-air evening show that tells the story of England, and ‘Peaky Blinders – On Location’, a look at where the popular TV series was filmed in the north of England.

For the more adventurous, Greatdays has introduced a new ‘South Africa: Wildlife, Wine and the Garden Route’, mixing safaris and scenery with wine and time to discover Cape Town. Other featured worldwide destinations include Cuba, Vietnam and Cambodia, and Toronto and Niagara.

Commenting on the new brochure, Paul Beaumont, Greatdays executive director, says: “We’re always looking at ways to inspire and enthuse our clients. Theming our continental European tours will help capture the imagination a little differently and show different options for different interests. We’ve also responded to coach tour operators looking for new tours that will appeal to younger customers. Our food and drink itineraries pick up on the current trend among foodies to find out more about where their food and drink comes from.”
