Mint and Mine Experience 

with The Royal Mint and Rhondda Heritage Park

During your visit, you will learn all about where UK coins are made and gain a fascinating insight into the history of The Royal Mint. Best of all is you will be given the opportunity to strike your own coin.

The Black Gold Experience Underground Tour is led by guides who have all worked the coal mines of the Rhondda Valleys and have tales to tell of life underground and the history of the Black Gold that was shipped from the Rhondda around the globe.  The tour ends with a ride on DRAM! The virtual coal dram which has a few surprises!

Itinerary:

10am - The Royal Mint Experience

12pm - Travel to Rhondda Heritage Park for lunch (own expense)

1.30pm - The Black Gold Experience

3.30pm - Finish
