Group Travel World (GTW) magazine has a big announcement this month: we’re joining forces with one of the UK’s top travel trade companies to arrange a series of exciting tourism events
From 2020, Group Travel World magazine and Steve Reed Tourism Ltd of Hampshire are to work in partnership to deliver the established Group Buyer Forum events. The Forums have become hugely popular within the coach tourism and group travel sectors over recent years, as practical and cost effective ways for tourism businesses to meet and arrange group bookings directly with tour planners. Recent Forums have taken place across the country at a variety of quality attractions, including Painshill Park and Brooklands Museum in Surrey, the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire and the Lowry in Salford Quays.
Now, the new arrangement will see the GTW team work closely with Steve Reed Tourism to arrange a new generation of Group Buyer Forums, with events already planned for Denbies Wine Estate near Dorking in Surrey on Monday September 21, and at RAF Cosford in Shropshire (date TBC).
A typical Group Buyer Forum sees hotels, attractions, destinations, retail and tourist boards from all over the UK exhibiting in a popular venue to meet, face to face, active and high quality GTOs and coach and tour operators – and always in a business-like setting. “We’re very happy to be working with Steve Reed Tourism for these events, and can see that they’ll develop in a positive and beneficial way for the many exhibitors and tour planners they attract,” says Harley Denham of GTW magazine. Steve adds: “With our long term experience within the tourism industry backed up by the sheer professionalism, national reach and effervescence of GTW magazine’s great team, we think the Group Buyer Forums will provide a new and growing route to market for the travel trade.”
