In the run up to this Christmas, English Heritage will be lighting up the December darkness within the outstanding historic landscapes of some of its most prestigious houses and castles across the country.

Especially picked for their spectacular grounds and inspired by their unique history, the gardens at these four special places – all hugely popular for group visits in daylight hours - will be spectacularly transformed after dark with light, colour and sound. Group members will step through tunnels and pathways of twinkling lights and marvel as the gardens burst to life in remarkable, unexpected ways. They can also browse for Christmas gifts and for a small extra charge, opt to try out a fairground ride and enjoy warming mulled wine and tempting mince pies. When

The events take place from 4.30pm – 9pm on Thursdays to Sundays from 5-22 December (plus Fri 27–Mon 30 Dec at Audley End House and Gardens).

Group discounts

Take advantage of reduced off-peak weekday prices (£12 per adult instead of £14 on Saturdays and Sundays), plus a generous 15% discount for groups of 11 or more people - one tour leader is admitted free with each group and does not count towards group numbers.

Coach parking

Coaches will be able to drop off and pick up clients, however there is no coach parking available at the properties.
