Top marks to new West End eaterie BungaTINI. Positioned slap bang in the heart of Theatreland, just a five minute walk from Covent Garden tube, it’s the perfect spot for a drink, snack, lunch or dinner either before or after the theatre.
The restaurant can cater for small groups, pizzas start at just £8, and the wine’s superb – something we discovered for ourselves when Group Travel World’s editor Helen Milbank stopped by for dinner (pictured here with her family). Not even a tube strike could dampen the evening!
“Friendly service, authentic Italian food and great prices… if you’re taking a small group to see School of Rock (right next door), or one of the Drury Lane theatres, this venue’s spot on,” says Helen.
The restaurant’s a spin off and sister restaurant to the well-known Battersea venue Bunga Bunga, and serves coffee, pastries, homemade paninis cut from foot-long homemade focaccias, salads and pizzas cooked in a wood-fired Valoriani oven.
Find it at 167 Drury Lane, next to the New London Theatre (currently home to hit show School of Rock). Taking a group? Visit our sister site www.grouptraveloffers.com to save more than 40% off tickets to School of Rock. You can spend the money you’ve saved on a few bottles of BungaTINI wine!
