Bristol International Balloon Fiesta
Organisers of the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta are urging coach drivers and coach tour operators to take heed of new measures in place regarding coach drop off for the 2018 event…
As the Fiesta returns for its 40th anniversary next month, organisers have put in place new coach parking and drop off plans for the event, which runs from 9-12 August.
The organisers of the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta want to ensure the safety of all visitors to this iconic event, therefore all coaches and tours must book a space in advance at the Fiesta’s new coach parking facility, located at Long Ashton Park and Ride. Passengers will then walk to the Fiesta site.
Should the Long Ashton Park and Ride facility sell out, vehicles will be required to make use of the designated drop off points in the city centre. From there, coach passengers will be able to make use of the public shuttle buses to and from the site, with coaches being parked at the city’s main coach park at Bristol Fruit Market.
As one of the largest outdoor events in the country and the largest mass audience event in city, the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta is the jewel in Bristol’s rich and varied events calendar.
Celebrating 40 years of the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta, this summer will see hundreds of balloons take to the sky and hundreds of thousands of eager balloon fans flock to the grounds of Ashton Court across the four days.
Spaces are limited, and will be issued on a first come, first served basis. Full information is available at visitbristol.co.uk/coachparking
