Durham Christmas Festival is one of the North East’s most loved Christmas shopping events! Why? Because it combines the perfect opportunity to tick items off the Christmas shopping list with a visit to one of Britain’s most beautiful cities.
Running this year from 1st to 3rd December, for many it is the only way to start the Christmas season. And arriving by coach makes your visit so straight forward. You’ll be dropped in a city centre location, and greeted by the Festival Team who will make sure you know exactly how to find all that you want to find. “But we’d advise booking straight away,” say the organisers, “we’re already nearly at capacity for coaches on the Saturday, but still have availability on Friday 1st and Sunday 3rd.
A visit to Durham Christmas Festival is a visit to three seasonal markets, all full of small independent businesses providing unique products that you’re not going to find on a regular high street. The Craft & Producers’ Marquee* on Palace Green, in the shadow of Durham’s stunning Cathedral, is home to more than 140 stalls selling gifts, seasonal decorations, festive food and drink and so much more. (Please note there is an entrance fee for this marquee, discounted entry is available in advance from the festival website www.durhamchristmasfestival.com).
The Coach Package costs £72.00 (inc VAT) per coach, and includes:
- City centre coach drop off / collection
- Guaranteed city centre coach parking
