Brand new for the Christmas season in December this year, the award-winning South Devon Railway (SDR) will be welcoming Polar Express trains to the seven-mile heritage steam line.
Held in partnership with UK-based PNP Events Ltd - who describe The Polar Express experience as a “memory-making marvel” at Christmas - the trip is based upon the story and characters from the 1985 Chris Van Allsburg children’s book and subsequent blockbuster film.
Polar Express’ tickets go on sale at 10am today (July 31, 2020) via https://southdevonrailwaythepolarexpressride.com/
The SDR is located at Buckfastleigh, just half an hour from Plymouth, Torbay and Exeter, and right by the A38 Devon Expressway.
Families of all ages will be able to cast off the Covid 19 blues and hop aboard the steam train to begin the journey of a lifetime with a Christmas experience to top all others. Once on board, the Polar Express’ team of chefs will serve up hot chocolate and cookies, while Santa greets everyone and gives them their first gift of Christmas. As the train conductor says in both the book and film: “Well, you comin’?”
