A popular value-added package of group-friendly benefits aimed at making it even easier to visit the elegant medieval town of Beverley is going from strength-to-strength – and now the historic market town can offer a welcome to coach groups seven days a week.

Fresh from being a finalist in the Coach Tourism Awards 2017, the Beverley Coach Campaign from Visit Hull & East Yorkshire (VHEY) has been running for three years, available Monday to Friday.

Now a partnership with the £125m Flemingate retail and leisure development -which runs a service for visiting coaches that includes the weekend - means Beverley can host coach companies and tour operators right through the week, boosting the town’s reputation as a coach-friendly destination.

Nestling on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, and under the shadow of its 13th century Minster, Beverley is already a popular group travel destination, thanks to its picturesque narrow streets, antique shops, historic buildings and a diverse range of year-round events.

The picturesque town is also gaining a reputation as a ‘set-jetting’ destination, with the Minster doubling as Westminster Abbey and St James's Palace for ITV’s hit series Victoria, starring Jenna Coleman, and also used for BBC TV’s recent historic drama Gunpowder, featuring Kit Harington.

Pulling together a package of benefits in one easy-to-book package, the Beverley Coach Campaign offers everything from free coach parking to a special ‘welcome bag’ for passengers, including a discount voucher booklet. Groups can also pre-arrange tours or guided walks too, from the Beverley Town Trail, discovering what life was like in medieval Beverley, to a Ghost & History Tour.

By linking up with Flemingate, a comprehensive facility can now be offered for the whole of Beverley.

Flemingate boasts a cinema and 80-bed Premier Inn hotel as well as new shops and restaurants, complementing the existing shopping amidst the cobbled streets of the historic town centre.

Among benefits from the Beverley Coach Campaign are a Meet and Greet Service, Driver Welcome Bag and the facility to pre-book group coffee breaks or lunches.
